Artistic Headstone Plaques

Artistic headstone plaques combine a portrait of the person who has died with a graphic composition matched to the character of the headstone. The colour designs surround the portrait with pastel flowers and leaves. In the black and white ones the portrait most often emerges as a light, soft drawing out of a dark background, framed with a laurel wreath, oak leaves, eucalyptus sprigs, or roses and lilies; there are also light designs, with the portrait set against clouds or with angel wings. If you wish, we add a religious symbol, and the details and dates are agreed individually as we design: they can go on the glass or directly on the headstone.

Standard sizes run from 20 × 30 to 80 × 90 cm. An 8 mm plaque is bonded onto the stone slab, while a 20 mm plaque can replace it: it is then set into the lower plinth and can also be printed on both sides. Some designs come only as a large 20 mm glass sheet set into the plinth in place of the slab, in formats from 50 × 60 to 60 × 100 cm. The black and white designs on a dark background go well with a black granite slab. Send us several sharp photographs taken close up, ideally with the person shown from the waist up. We can improve a weaker photograph digitally.
