Glass Crosses for Headstones
Glass crosses for headstones are made by hand in our workshop, and we offer them in two kinds: asymmetrical and irregular. Asymmetrical crosses in fused glass come in seven standard sizes for tablets 60 cm wide and 70 to 100 cm high; they are bonded onto the tablet or into a groove cut into it, and those that let light through can also be built in between two stone tablets. Irregular crosses are each made from a single piece of kiln-fused glass about 10 mm thick, come in widths from 10 to 65 cm and in 20 colours, and are bonded into a milled recess so that they lie flush with the tablet. For a typical tablet 60 cm wide, an asymmetrical cross in a standard size is the simplest choice, while an irregular cross suits a design where the glass should lie flush with the stone or the width has to match the tablet.
