Black and White Headstone Plaques

On black and white headstone plaques we use no colour at all. The portrait most often emerges as a light, soft drawing out of a dark background, framed in the same tone: a laurel wreath, oak leaves, eucalyptus sprigs, or roses and lilies. The dark background goes well with a black granite slab, so the plaque does not stand out from the memorial as a pale rectangle.

Below the portrait we place a memorial line such as “In loving memory”, the first name and surname and the dates of birth and death, exactly as you give them to us. If the design you choose has no cross, we will add one at the design stage. The plaques run from 20 × 30 to 80 × 90 cm, and for a large headstone slab, usually set into the plinth, we recommend formats from 50 × 60 to 60 × 100 cm.
