Glass for a headstone with an image of a cross and lilies is an elegant glass panel intended to decorate memorials and headstones. The product is made of two layers of ultra-white tempered glass, with a durable ceramic print resistant to the weather placed between them. Thanks to this technology the glass tablet for a memorial keeps its appearance for many years and withstands UV radiation, moisture and changing temperatures.
The panel comes in selected dimensions and in a thickness of 8 or 10 mm, and to individual order it can be made as a glass panel for a headstone with non-standard dimensions and glass thickness, in line with the memorial mason’s specifications.
Product characteristics
The panel is made of two sheets of ultra-white tempered glass bonded together, with a ceramic print fired in a kiln placed between them. This technology means the artwork is permanently bonded to the glass and resistant to the weather. Additional glass lamination makes the panel safer in use, and the lightly ground edges improve both the look and the ease of fitting.
The glass panel is intended to be bonded to the tablet of the memorial or set into special plinths made in stone, which makes it an elegant decorative element of modern headstones.
To individual order we can prepare glass for a memorial in other dimensions, bevel the edges, use thicker glass build-ups with a total thickness of 12, 16, 20 or 24 mm, drill holes for fixing dowels or cut irregular shapes from a technical drawing. This allows the panel to be matched precisely to the memorial design.

How long does it take to make the tablet?
Producing a glass tablet for a memorial usually takes three to six weeks, depending on the format and the extent of the glass processing.
What size can I choose as part of an individual order?
The minimum width of the panel is 10 cm and the maximum size of the panel can be 70 × 120 cm; in some cases other dimensions are also possible, by prior arrangement.
What kinds of print do we use?
All graphics are produced using ceramic printing technology on glass, in which the pigment is fired in a kiln and permanently fused into the structure of the glass. As a result, the photograph on glass for a memorial or the decorative graphic is resistant to the weather, UV radiation and mechanical damage.
We produce prints exclusively on ultra-white tempered glass, which gives high clarity and excellent quality in displaying the graphic.
Will the piece be sent by courier?
Smaller panel formats are sent by standard courier. Larger formats have to go with a dedicated logistics company that gives the glass panel proper protection in transit. The delivery cost of larger panels is agreed individually, based on the recipient’s location.
How is the glass panel fitted to the memorial?
The way the glass panel is fitted depends on the design of the headstone. The panel can be:
bonded on with a suitable mounting tape or adhesive,
screwed on with mounting studs,
set into horizontal or vertical recesses cut into the stone tablet.
Whichever method of fitting is chosen, materials that take up the stresses arising at low temperatures should be used, such as flexible MS-polymer adhesives, mounting tapes or suitable gaskets.
Can we make the panel in an irregular shape?
Yes. On the basis of the technical drawing supplied to us we can make a glass panel in an irregular shape, for example with an arch or a rounded side, so that it fits the memorial design perfectly.
Such work is prepared together with the memorial mason and is quoted individually in every case.
