Funeral Portrait for the Ceremony – A Keepsake of a Loved One
A personalised memorial portrait surrounded by a wreath of white roses and sage green foliage offers a classic and dignified way to bid farewell to a loved one. The soft, muted colour scheme lends the composition a calm, elegant character, well suited to display during a funeral mass, in a chapel or a funeral home. Placed on an easel beside the coffin or urn, it creates a dignified and respectful setting for the service.
The portrait later becomes a treasured keepsake for the family. It is possible to order several copies, so that each close relative may keep their own memento.
How to order a funeral portrait
Ordering is simple and built around the urgency of a funeral. A funeral portrait can be ordered in three different ways, depending on your needs and how much time you have.
1. Order through your funeral home
When arranging the details of the ceremony, ask whether your chosen funeral home works with us. Then choose a design and pay for the order directly at the funeral home.
Once the order is placed, email us a few good-quality photographs of the deceased. Within 24–48 hours we will prepare a portrait design for your approval. After you approve it, we produce the work, which is then delivered to the church or chapel and set on an easel beside the urn or coffin by the funeral home. Turnaround: 2–3 working days plus shipping.
2. Order directly from our online shop
You can also order the funeral portrait yourself in our online shop. Simply choose the design that suits you best, upload a few photographs of the deceased and pay for the order.
Within 24–48 hours we will send you a design to review. Once approved, we ship the finished portrait straight to you or to the funeral home of your choice. Turnaround: 2–3 working days plus shipping.
3. Order a digital file to print yourself
If time is critical, you can order the digital design only and print it yourself. As soon as you approve the design, the file is sent to you immediately, so you can print and frame it at a local photo lab.
We recommend this option for anyone who wants to skip courier delivery and needs a funeral portrait as quickly as possible. Turnaround: 24–48 hours – delivered to the email address you provide.

Photo restoration
for headstones and funeral ceremonies
The service is for funeral homes, stonemasons and private individuals who need a photograph improved quickly — in time to have it printed by a local photographer for the ceremony, or prepared for use on a headstone.
We also restore photographs in very poor condition — we remove paper texture, grain and yellowing, bring back sharpness in the face and hair, and crop the frame to the format you choose. We hand over the print-ready file as a link you download to your computer.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a funeral portrait take?
Every design is prepared within 24–48 hours of receiving your photographs. Once you approve the design, we print the work straight away, mount it in a frame and send it by courier to the address you provide or directly to the funeral home.
For orders that include printing and delivery, the total time is usually 48 to 72 hours.
If you choose the digital file only, to print and frame yourself, this comes down to 24–48 hours.
Does the portrait come with a black ribbon?
Yes, we add a physical black ribbon to the work, which you can reposition, adjust or remove completely.
What size is right for a funeral ceremony?
We usually recommend two formats: 30×40 cm and 40×50 cm. Both are clear and dignified during the ceremony and work just as well afterwards as a keepsake at home.
How do I choose photographs of the deceased for the portrait?
Please send photographs that are sharp and taken from a short distance. Images showing the person from the waist up work best.
We recommend sending several photographs – this lets us pick the most suitable one. If the quality is poor, we can retouch or reconstruct the image digitally, keeping the portrait natural and dignified.
Is the portrait drawn by hand?
No, all our work consists of digital portraits created in professional graphics software. Once the design is approved, we print the portrait on matte photographic paper, according to the option you have chosen.
