Where to print a photo for a funeral? A digital file is fastest
We improve the photo and email you the file. You print and frame the portrait at a photo shop near you, with no waiting for a courier.
Where do you print a photo for a funeral when the service is in two days? The fastest route doesn’t go through a courier. We improve the quality of the photo and send back a print-ready file, and you take it to a photo shop near you and collect the framed portrait — often the same day.
Below we compare both routes, show where to print the file and what to ask for at the shop. At the end we explain how funeral directors and stonemasons use the same solution. If you are still looking for the right picture, start with our guide on how to prepare a photo for a funeral.
Why a digital file is the fastest option
With a funeral photo only one thing counts: having it in your hands in time. Here are the two routes:
- we improve the photo — within 24 hours on the express option,
- a link to the finished file arrives by email,
- printing and framing at a photo shop — often the same day,
- no parcel and no delivery cost.
- the portrait design is ready within 24 hours,
- printing and framing take 2–3 working days,
- plus delivery time from Poland,
- you receive a finished framed portrait with a black ribbon.
With the digital route there is no parcel, so there is no risk of a courier arriving the day after the funeral — and no customs or international delivery to wait for. You decide when to collect the print, and you do it in a shop you know.
Where to print a photo for a funeral
Any photo shop that prints larger sizes can do it. A few tips so it takes one visit:
- Call before you go. Ask about the size, the paper and framing, and whether you can collect everything the same day.
- Bring the file on your phone or a USB stick. You can also email it to the shop before you get there.
- Ask for matt paper. Matt reduces glare from lamps and windows, and the portrait usually stands close to candles and spotlights.
- Frame and ribbon. Some shops frame prints on the spot. If yours doesn’t, buy the frame separately and add a black ribbon across a corner.
- No photo shop nearby? Someone in the family can print the same file in another town — the result is identical.
The same file can also go to the printer who makes the order of service and to the funeral director for the screen at the crematorium.
How to order the file
You place the order on a single page, with no basket and no account:
- Upload the photo — from a computer or a phone.
- Choose the delivery time, print size and background. Give the size you want to print; we crop the photo to it.
- We improve the photo and email you a link to the finished file.
- Download the file and print it at a photo shop, then frame the portrait.
- Delivery within 72 hours — €21,00. We remove paper texture, grain and yellowing, bring back facial detail and crop the photo to the size you give.
- Express delivery within 24 hours — €39,00. Everything from the standard option, and our retoucher also corrects highlights and shadows and retouches the figure. Orders placed before 12:00 Polish time are delivered within 24 hours; anything later moves to the next working day.
Which photo works best for improvement? We explain it in a separate guide: how to improve the quality of a photo for a funeral.
Original on the left, restored file on the right
Photo restoration
for headstones and funeral ceremonies
The service is for funeral homes, stonemasons and private individuals who need a photograph improved quickly — in time to have it printed by a local photographer for the ceremony, or prepared for use on a headstone.
We also restore photographs in very poor condition — we remove paper texture, grain and yellowing, bring back sharpness in the face and hair, and crop the frame to the format you choose. We hand over the print-ready file as a link you download to your computer.
What the digital version gives you
- Time. From order to framed portrait usually takes a day, not several.
- Peace of mind. You don’t track a parcel or count whether it will arrive before the service.
- No delivery cost. You pay for the photo improvement and the print, nothing else.
- Several copies. From one file you can print the portrait for the service and smaller prints for the family.
- Anywhere. Relatives in another town or another country can print the same portrait where they are.
- The file stays with you. It will be useful for the order of service, an online tribute and later for a glass headstone plaque with a photo.
For funeral directors and stonemasons
A family arrives with a poor photo: a phone picture of an old print or an image saved from social media. Instead of sending them away, order the improvement in our shop, on the service page.
- order in your company’s name, giving the company name and VAT number,
- download the finished file from the link we email you — no parcel, no waiting for a courier,
- print and frame it in-house or at a photo shop you work with, in the size you need,
- with the express option you can meet even a deadline of two days.
You avoid both the cost of delivery from Poland and the time it takes, and the family gets the finished portrait before the service. If cases like this come up often, see our cooperation for funeral directors and stonemasons.
When a ready-made framed portrait makes more sense
The digital version doesn’t replace everything. A portrait made in our workshop is worth it when:
- the funeral is a week or more away,
- you want the delicate floral setting and a frame chosen for the portrait,
- you would rather not deal with printing and finding a frame.
We prepare the design within 24 hours of receiving your photos; printing and framing take 2–3 working days, plus delivery. You can see the designs in our funeral portraits category.
Frequently asked questions
What file do I get?
A print-ready file, cropped to the size you gave in the order. You simply show it at the photo shop.
How much does printing cost?
The photo shop sets the price, and it depends on the size and whether you add a frame. It is worth asking on the phone before you go.
Can I print several copies?
Yes. The file is yours, so you can print the portrait for the service and smaller prints for the family.
Will you be ready if the funeral is in two days?
On the express option, orders placed before 12:00 Polish time are delivered within 24 hours; later orders move to the next working day. Printing at a photo shop usually takes a few hours.
Can a funeral director order improvement for a family?
Yes. You can order in the company’s name with its VAT number, and we send the link to the file to the company’s email address.
I live outside Poland. Will this work?
Yes — that is exactly what the digital version is for. You order and pay online and print the file wherever you are.
In summary

- Order the photo improvement and give the size you want to print.
- Receive the file by email — within 24 hours on the express option.
- Print it at a photo shop near you, on matt paper.
- Frame the portrait and add a black ribbon.
